Review: Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter - 096 Macaroon

Hey Beauties!

One of my all time favorite lip products are the Revlon's lip butters. Unfortunately, I only have one shade. I have it in the shade Creme Brulee, which is a really nice nude shade. But I had to get a more vibrant shade, still something that I can wear on a daily bases, but just not too nude.

I chose the shade called 096 Macaroon. Since the packaging is berry pink, I thought this wouldn't work on me. If you haven't notice I don't wear pink lipsticks, because they just din't suit me. But the shade inside surprised me. It's hard to describe it, but it looks a bit like a berry color, but with a red tone to it. It also has a really small gold shimmer in it. This shade is so pretty and natural looking. It just gives that extra color to my naturally paler lips. I thin it's a perfect my but better lips shade for me.

The packaging is plastic with a shiny silver inside. It looks really nice and pretty overall. Now, I don't really like the fact that there's a very small part that you need to hold in order to open up the lipstick. I don't like that about Maybelline lipsticks as well. It's just too small for my hands.

I bought it for 10.99 € (for 2.55 grams), but the prices vary, depending on where you buy it. It's not the most cheap lip product, but I would say it's worth it, if you're going to be wearing it on a daily basis.

I like the formula of their lip butters, because they give enough color and they still moisturize my lips. It's a like a mixture of lipstick and lip balm. The color is buildable and if you wear it all day and just reapply it, you can get a really nice strong color on the lips. The smell is very subtle, something like vanilla. Nothing unpleasant.

There's nothing bad to say about it, except I wish I had almost every shade of their lip butters range:).

Are you also in love with Revlon's lip butters? Which is your favorite shade?

Review: Real Techniques Blush Brush

Hey Beauties!

My first ever Real Techniques brush and I'm sure it won't be the last! I got this blush brush in a giveaway on The ugly truth or sweet lies blog - thanks girl! Part of the gift was a Real Techniques brush of my own choice. I chose the blush brush and think it was the perfect first brush from Real Techniques.

Most of you know that the Real Techniques brushes are from Sam and I think Nick too. They're called Pixiwoo sisters and have their own beauty channel on YouTube.

The bristles are synthetic and hand-cut. The brush is 100% cruelty-free. The handle is supposed to be aluminum and it is shaped so that it can stand on any surface. That's also very convenient, if you like to display the brush on shelves. It's a pretty pink color.

I initially thought that the bristles are not going to be as soft as they are. Part of it, because I always think that dark colored bristles are harder. I always assume that if the bristles are light color, they're soft. Well..that's not always the case. The bristles are extremely soft. Like really really soft. I love soft brushes and this one is a complete success.

The bristles are tapered, which gives a really natural application. I think this is a fool proof brush for anyone starting with the makeup application. The product is picked up only with the end of the longest bristles. Other tapered cut bristles help to blend the application. It spreads the product amazingly and it makes putting on make up a lot easier.

It's perfect for the blush. Makes it look effortless. I mostly use it for blush, but it's also great for bronzer. Especially, if you like the overall bronzed look with no lines and heavy contour. It's of course also perfect for powder, because it's so soft. You can apply the powder only to the areas you like and not on large areas like with most huge powder brushes.

The prices vary, depending on where you buy them. In Slovenia the blush brush costs around 13€ (Mojadrogerija.si, Licila.si), in USA around 9$ (iHerb.com) and in UK around 6£ (Realtechniques.com).

I really really like the brush and would highly recommend it to everyone. I think this sort of brushes are pretty affordable, yet they'll last you a really long time, if you take good care of them. My next purchase will probably be the setting brush.

Which Real Techniques brush would you recommend to me?

Review: Essence Beach Cruisers Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

Hey Beauties!

So I initially thought I wouldn't buy anything from this Beach Cruisers LE. But when I saw it in the store, I was impressed by the color of the liquid liner. Since it's a very wearable shade, I decided to get it.

It's a classic Essence plastic packaging. I like that the packaging is the same color as the product. Makes thing easier. It contains 3 ml of product and costs 2.49€

The applicator is a short brush. If you put on a little pressure, you get a thin line and if you put more pressure, the brush flats and creates a thicker line.

It's described as a waterproof glitter eyeliner. Now, I wouldn't describe it as a glitter liner, at all. It's actually more of a metallic effect to me. It's shiny, but there's no obvious glitter seen, while wearing. The glitter shows, when you decide to take it off. It's definitely very long lasting, but not waterproof. It reminds me of Catrice liquid liner. Once it dries, it won't move, until you decide to take it off.

I really like the color. I would describe it as a copper bronze or brown gold. It goes nice with my hair color. I think it's a very wearable liner that would suit many and the quality is not bad at all. The shade is called 01 Sun, Fun & Copper!

Here I went a bit overboard with it, creating more of a night time look.

Did you get any of the products from this LE?

Blog sale

Hey Beauties!

Today I finally took photos of some of the products I don't really use or have used a little and they didn't work for me. In hope of finding a better home, I'm selling them.

I'm sorry, but this will only be for Slovenians, since the cost of sending the product anywhere else is a bit too high.

Ta izdelek sem uporabljala vse dokler nisem začela uporabljati Bioderme. Na žalost sem si kupila preveč zalog. Oba sta popolnoma polna in nikoli uporabljena. Avon Nautrals tonik z ameriškim slamnikom in belim čajem. Uporabljala. Ga je še polovica. Zdaj pa sem nekako pozabila nanj in mi leži doma.
Lavera deodorant pomaranča 3€, Frutini spraj za telo 1€, Avon krema za roke 1€

Lavera roll on deodorant z vonjem pomaranče.

Avon Little Black Dress 7€

Avon Little Black dress parfum, 50 ml.

Clearface puder v odtenku 76 sand 2€, MAC Pro Longwear concealer v odtenku NC20 18€ in Bourjois Healthy Mix korektor v odtenku 51 Light Radiance 3€

Clearface puder je skoraj nerabljen. Ga ne uporabljam več. MAC popolnoma nov pro logwear concealer v odtenku NC20. Prodam, ker mi je pretemen. Zelo malo rabljen Bourjois Healthy Mix korektor, ker je postal premalo vlažilen za pod očmi. Včasih sem ga veliko uporabljala, zato še danes zaloge.
Essence Me & My Ice Cream highlighter 3€ in Essence Dark Romance cream highlighter 3€

Oba sta rabljena 2x. Ocena perlic in ocena kremnega

Essence duo senčilo za oči zeleno 0.50€

Kupila in nikoli uporabila.

Essence Stay With Me lip gloss v odtenku 04 Trendsetter 1€ in Essence Dark Romance lip gloss v odtenku 02 Light Up! 1€

Essence Stay With Me lip gloss v odtenku 04 Trendsetter. Fuksija roza odtenke z modrim podtonom. Ocena tukaj

Catrice Quick Dry & High Shine nadlak, Catrice 05 Earnie & Birdy, S-he Wow!, Bourjois So Laque 23 Fuchsia hype
Catrice rumen lak z zelo majhnim roza in modrim shimmerom. Uporabljen 2x. S-he mareličen roza lak uporabljen 2x. Bourjois fukcija roza lak uporabljen 4x. Prodajam ga, ker imam podoben odtenek.
Avon Matte Red Velvet 1.50€, Catrice 380 Forget-Me-Not! 1.50€, Catrice Rocking Royals C03 Royal Blue 1.50€, Catrice 09 Hugo Moss 1.50€
Avon mat temno rdeč lak z majhnim zlatim shimmerom. Nekakjkrat uporabljen - se vidi. Catrice vojiličen lak s srebrnim shimmerom - uporabljen 2x.

Mislim, da je to iz fimo mase. Se nareže in potem prilepi na noht. 1€

H&M kopalke, številka 36, 9€

Neumestni izdelek. Žal sem zavrgla račun in zdaj ne morem nesti nazaj. Če katera rabi, z veseljem prodam. Nikoli nošene, etiketa je še vedno gor.

In še drugi del. Imam ekstremno majhno številko čevljev in so mi še 36 preveliki. Poštnina bo za čevlje nekoliko višja, ene 3 €, ker pošljem priporočeno in ker so težji.

Nike Dunk High, številka 35.5 (22cm), 40€
Nike sivi čevlji, semiš. Nosila sem jih 2x in ugotovila, da niso moja številka.

Nike Air Royalty, številka 36 (22.5 cm), 40€
Nike zlati. Nosila sem jih 2x in samo v dvorani.

Nike Air Max, številka 36 (23 cm), 35€
Nike črni tekaški čevlji, nikoli nošeni.

Reebok Hexalite, številka 37 (23.5 cm), 25€
Reebok črni za aerobiko oziroma dvoranske športe. Nosila sem jih samo v dvorani.

My morning skincare routine

Hey Beauties!

I thought it was time to mix up my posts. I realized that I do a lot of reviews, but never actually mentioning my skincare routine. Since I pretty much use the same products every day, this is a good time to introduce you to what I put on in the morning.

This is my morning routine, after which I would put on makeup or just leave it there, if I don't intend on going anywhere.

I start with cleaning my face. My currant favorite face wash is this by Alverde Clear Wash Cream. This wash cream is made for the skin that has problems with pimples and blackheads. I wouldn't say that it prevents pimples, especially not does hormonal ones, because it doesn't. I love the fact that Alverde is healthier brand of skin care and I love that it doesn't irritate my skin at all. It cleans it, but doesn't leave it too dry or itchy. It's perfect for my combination to oily skin and sensitive enough. It's light brown color and a formula of a light cream. I actually really like the subtle smell, but can't describe of what it reminds me.

After washing, I apply my eye cream. I am 25 and I do start to notice my smile wrinkles, especially around the eyes. I use Bioderma Sensibio Eye Contour Gel. It's for sensitive and intolerant skin. My skin around the eyes is mostly sensitive and some what dry. Moisturizing around this area, doesn't hurt. It's a nice moisturizing cream, that's fairly light, but feels moisturizing. It definitely soothes my skin and it's a nice treatment after removing makeup. I am currently running out of it and looking for another one, with maybe a bit more anti wrinkle properties. Any suggestions? I would still like it too be sensitive enough. (Detailed review)

Then I go in with my serum / oils. I use Dr. Sheller Jojoba and Schisandra Intensive Serum. This is probably my favorite step. This is again for sensitive skin. It's pretty moisturizing, but soaks in really quickly, which is a dream. It doesn't feel greasy and it really soothes the skin. I love it, because I think this is the thing that keeps my irritations away and helps to boost up my skin the most. It also doesn't hurt that it's a natural skin care brand. (Detailed review)

The next step is applying face cream. I usually use moisturizing cream - Afrodita Chamomile Moisturizing Cream for Sensitive Skin. It's initially made for sensitive skin and I think it's also anti aging. This is again a natural brand from Slovenia. I like the light cream and the fact that it feels really soothing and light on the skin. It doesn't make my skin irritated and most of the heavily perfumed and expensive cream, do. (Detaled review)

Another option that I use combined with this Afrodita cream or on it's own is La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+. I tend to use this, when my skin is acting out and I get pimples on most of my face. I either use this cream only on the areas that has pimples or I use it all over if they seem to be spreading all over my face. (Detailed review)

The last step is sunscreen if I'll go out or it it's sunny. I'm currently using La Roche-Posey Anthelios XL Fluid and absolutely love it. It's really liquid, easy to apply and it soaks into the skin extremely quickly. Plus it has an SPF of 50+, which is great.  (Detailed review)

Hope you liked this kind of post. Maybe I'll do a night time skin care routine, which is a bit longer and contains more products.

What's your morning skin care routine?

Review: La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL Fluid

Hey Beauties!

I got this wonderful product from La Roche-Posay and it's the perfect product for the season. It's skin cancer awareness week in Slovenia, so further more reason for sunscreen mentioning on my blog.

The sun has become extremely dangerous. I remember being younger and not getting burnt, while being on the sun a whole day. I also remember my family was never big on huge SPF factors. Now, that I'm a bit older, all has changed. A few years ago I had a sunscreen with SPF 20 and got really bad sun burns on my body. I realized my SPF needs to be at least 30. The face is even more sensitive and sun burns can make you look a lot older in years to come. Nobody wants that. So today's product is the perfect sunscreen product for everyone who wants to look younger longer, avoid skin cancer and take good care of your overall health.

La Roche-Posay made a product named Anthelios XL ultra-light fluid. It offers SPF 50+ and is especially good for sensitive and sun intolerant skin. It also has UVB + UVA protection, which is very important in looking for sunscreen. It's initially made for the face, but can of course be used on any other problematic areas of the body. It also says that is waterproof and contains no perfumes and no parabens.

It sounds like a perfect product for my sensitive skin and it didn't let me down. I actually planed on buying this one for this summer season and now I got it.

Here is the ingredients list for those who are interested.

The packaging is really convenient. It's pretty thin, square like and it's not big, so perfect for carrying around. On top it has a little screw on top that prevents the mess of getting the cream all over the packaging. That's a really good design, since the product is really liquid. It's also great because you can control how much product do you want to come out, without wasting it.

The fluid is very liquid and you need to shake the bottle before using it. It has a little ball inside, that shakes up the product well. It's a light light yellow color. Because it's so liquid, it's a dream to apply. The application is quick and easy. The fluid soaks into the skin extremely quickly and there's no stickiness or heavy feeling. It's very light. No particular smell, just very neutral.

The only thing that bothers me a little is that it gives the skin a very shiny layer. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing sticky, it's just the visual effect on the skin. Some may love this, but my very oily skin in the summer, may not so much. This sheen seems to be a very often effect that I get from face sunscreens. Maybe it's something about the formula that it just need to be like that. For those with dry skin, this would be an absolute beauty on the face, adding some natural highlighting :).

I have a pretty sensitive skin and this fluid works amazing on my skin. No irritations, no red spots, nothing. I highly recommend it to anyone with sensitive skin. I love the quick absorbency and the light feeling, but could go without the sheen. It really is an amazing sunscreen.

In Slovenia it costs something around 15€ (which is equal to around 12£ or 20$) and you get 50 ml of product. I think it's a pretty reasonable price for a good face sunscreen.

I saw on foreign pages that La Roche-Posay also has this product in an original version (which is probably heavier),  in a tinted version and even compact cream (which looks to me like a cream foundation with SPF - boy, would I like to get my hands on this one! :) ). They also have products for the body in the same range.
